Family Tree

Vamsha (Vatan/Family) Vruksha (Tree) is the Chart of the particular Family. This gives the details of ancestors, blood relation details of past and present. The person does not past history cannot step to the future.While studying history of Kings, we have learnt Kings Vamsha (Vatan /family ) Vruksha ( Tree).

Raghu kula, SuryaVamsha, Chandra Vansha, Rastrakuta, Chalukya ,Hoysala, Chola, Saluva, Maurya, etc., are the names of Vamshas of famous kings ; who established new kingdoms & ruled different parts of our country successfully. They were very proud of their family history.

Each family has its own Vamsha Vruksha ( Family tree ). Earlier days there was practice to maintain this. But now a days for one or other reason this was discontinued.

A young man was returning from Mumbai in ordinary class of a train. In between at Solapur station some passengers get into the train. And Quarrelled for the seat. They managed to get seats. As train started moving insiders become relaxed. So the old person in the group started enquiry with young insider. Where are you going? I am going to Gulbarga insider answered. Oh! Are you from Gulbarga ? We are also from Gulbarga. Where do you want to go in Gulbarga. He replied Om Nagar . Old man was so curious to hear the young man ; Om Nagar ! Whose house you want to visit. ? Man told the name of his father. Old man was stunned. and over joyed. Because the young man was his own brother's son.

This man at his early age shifted to Maharashtra for job and there was not no contacts with his family members. After a long gap that too on retirement he want to visit his native. On the way they met each other. Young one could not recognise his own uncle due to lack of knowledge of his family history.

So, This incident should not happen in our family. May be accidentally we should not meet as strangers in a train.

Due to western influence nuclear family's are taken birth. The child or children due to school pressure could not attend religious functions in the native. Due to loss of communication relationship diminished.

Swadeshi ( Bhartiya ) Life cares for relationship. Relationship develops only with regular contacts. So our ancient Rishi's planned our life so that relationship shall grow automatically. They made get together of family members compulsory to perform certain festivals and rituals. Marriages takes palce for a week. In Copacenory families relatives met for few days during Jatra, Pooja, Marriage etc occasions. This gives social security and relief to mental pressure.

In our child hood days we hear from members of certain families that half village is with our own relatives. No one can dare to touch us.

In modern times we have protect our relationship . To build relationship we should draw our own family tree with the help of our good old elders. So that we can know our blood relationship and recognise them to build strong society.

Take pen/paper and start reverse diagram of upward family tree starting from you and your brothers/sisters. If goes on drawing the tree you will definitely thrilling experience.while drawing family tree you will also come to know special rituals /sampradaya of your family. Life style of ancestors etc., Then you we will be proud to say that you have gens of your fore fathers who have great qualities and you are the fruit of your family.
